most professionals use blast media in increasing grits, and then they buff the final bits
this "garfinkle" guy must have read the DIY polishing page on one of the newbie sites and just went large scale with it....
vibratory machines are also nice, and do all the work for you
i agree with jim 100% on this one, and if you want to further qualify his complaint, this "garfinlke" guy can't speak for himself because jason would have to charge him for advertising.....am i wrong?

No, no... that's not my report card. I've never gotten an A- in debate in my life, and as for finishing projects in a timely fashion, I've got a note from my doctor...

Real professional polishing person though wouldnt even use sand paper, Goto bright-works.com and see how they do it, I learned allot about metal polishing from Dave @ bright-works & I get all my materials from there...

Hey fd3virgin, nice work! I admire you for jumping in and polishing something. I've thought about it a few times, just cus the 7 will be down for a while anyways, but I just haven't gotten to it yet. Maybe someday..

someone gave me a link to bright-works.com.......i am going to order their kit with some other tools to get into the small tight areas. i will let you know how it goes. they don't use sandpaper at all. they use some kind of paste grits with buffing wheels. i have a buffing wheel already. i think it will save me time. i attemped to dremel away at the uim....i left some nasty scratches in it i have to get rid off. worst come to worst i will paint it kvn
