SS Brake Lines

Did a search and couldn't find anything on the subject. I'm looking to put new brake lines in with my new Brembo slotted/drilled rotors. From what I've read elsewhere I've seen prices ~130, but am not sure what companies are trusted by the community.
So, what brakes lines do you have, what'd you pay, and would you recommend them?

I've got goodridge SS lines on my car, got them from a friend brand new, but they retail around $130. Great quality, excellent fit, easy to install, and I highly recommend them.

From what I've seen, braided brake lines are braided brake lines. I don't think anyone makes any cheapie crappy versions that I know of. Big thing is they don't want the liability if one breaks and you auger the car into a middle school .

I would look for DOT approved lines that have a plastic outer coating over the stainless. I think Racing Beat's lines are race use only, not DOT approved design. At least that was the case with the lines I bought ages ago for my FC - they may have updated the design.

I would second the idea of only using DOT-approved lines if you use your car on the street - just for liability's sake.

honestly, it is all the same line give or take. if you were willing to go through the work you could put together a set of the same quality or better with parts from mcmaster's. goodridge is what i am running and seems to be the preferred name among owners, but it is probably mostly hype.

Just buy any DOT approved lines and you'll be fine

Found this line in the above thread :

NOTE !!: These should be installed by an experienced (and intelligent) mechanic, which may be hard to find.

I've had Goodrich on my CRX for like 10 years. They had a silicone sleeve over the lines to protect from dirt but one corner got chewed up changing dampers. An alternative DOT choice is Russell.
