Squeal Troubleshoot

I have a squeal underhood. I know, I know, it could be anything from that description... but it seems to be coming from the right side front of the engine... probably one of the pulleys??? Anyways I have 79,000km on it... stock 94... and just wondering if there is a common part that squeals that I should replace... any advice?

Thanks!

check your belts. they should be nice and tight, yours might be dry. put some ky jelly on them to moisturize them or get some new ones. if this doesnt help, one of the pulley bearings might be fried, or possibly the airpump.

I knew damn well there was more than one use for K-Y jelly, and if anyone knows, it's a guy from SF! (j/k)

Really - does it work??? I've heard astro-glide is the way to go............

I am guessing the air pump. They don't last much longer than that. Mine went at 80k and it squealed. Get it out before it locks up!
