Question

A few questions:

1. Are you at 10 PSI at 5000 rpms when this happens?
2. Have you pulled the engine codes?
3. What modifications are on the car?

OH Suggestions

I would definetly see how your turbo timer is wired. There may be wires tapped into wrong locations. I would check all your vacuum hoses and make sure none of the plastic hose barbs on your solenoid valves are not cracked or broken. If the OEM vacuum lines have never been replaced I would definetly take this time to replace all of them. I like the vacuum hoses from Hose Techniques, they are top quality hoses. I know you said the problem is intermediant but I would also check to see how the boost controller stepper motor is plumbed to the waste gate
and the turbe pre control actuators. Most boost controllers instructions are not ideal for twin turbo RX7s (twin turbo Supra too) so you want to make sure you use Japanese RX7 boost controller vacuum hose routing diagram. I have this if you want to see it. My vacuum lines were originally routed like my HKS EVC-EZ
boost controller instructions showed. This may sound crazy, but it seemed like the longer I ran the car this way and the more I increased the power, the bigger the problem with the hose routing. Japanese routing is the way to go, very smooth, instant boosting with stong pull all the way.

What aftermarket ECU are you using? Can you monitor your voltages with it?
