speedometer is jumping and sometimes not working? lose connection somewhere?

my speedometer is trippin'. it works sometimes and then it wil jump from 1000 - to 4000 and back in a wierd jumping motion. wondering if anyone knows about this. plus temp gauge beeps everytime car is started and stops after needle gets half way. hope anyone can help?

I am sorry the tach. is what I meant. and the water temp gauge is beeping and starts off cold and has to get to mid temp( about half way on the gauge) before it stops. ?

I had the same issue with my tach. It was still under warranty, they said it was not repairable, and they put in a new one. $900 for the part, or something crazy like that.
