special check valves??

I just bought a 93 in pretty sorry shape. There are many vacuum problems; a lot of missing parts. One of these is check valves. My question is, are the factory check valves special in some way or can I use the generic ones from the auto parts store?

I have been using the generic help valves for a year now and have seen no problem.

I've also been using the Help! valves for a few years. they may fall apart after a year and a half or so, but at less than 10% of the price of the OEMs, it doesnt matter

I've check at autozone but the check valves there don't seem to be one way check valves, I think it blow both ways, or I could be wrong. I'm assuming the people that bought the check valves at autozone bought the 1 way check valves, if so I must have miss it.
