I am in NJ now, closer to my family and getting a 'normal' job. Not in the army anymore, or I would be heading back to Iraq soon.
The brace goes underneath the oil pan lip and around the pan itself. You need longer 10mm bolts and MM bolts to make it work. Gotham has it all available. When I was the showroom guy there I probably sold 30 of them with no complaints at all.

IN doing further research I could find no price on the pineapple custom oilpan, so no comparison there. Anyone know what it's going for?
Also couldnt find any info on gotham's site or elsewhere about their oil pan brace. Anyone have links to direct info or pricing? How can people expect to sell high end parts when they're not advertised or priced? Rumor and legend?

Big difference between your so called brace and this pan. $150 you get a OK solution which adds a additional sealing surface, minimal bracing, and no increased oil capacity these pans don't leak, and are a way better option over all. But hey you get what you pay for.
There still could be a leak from the rear main seal area even though the main seal was replaced. If you remove the stationary gear, there's an O-ring around the outside circumference. The O-ring breaks from the heat and age. I've seen it happen once.

Really, when you have 2 products at such a different price point, i don't think they can really be considered as competing with each other.
Hell, I just sent a customer your way for a specific turbo part, so I really don't appreciate all the animosity

Please explain how this is unprofessional the brace is a far different solution to the problem yes? It adds a additional sealing surface yes?, is it going to add the same rigidity as the Pan? No. Will it increase oil capacity? No. Is it a cheaper solution to reduced engine flex? Yes. Hence you will get what you pay for a cheaper solution that will help in reducing engine flex but isn't going to seal better than the oil pan due to added surface. To Gothams credit I haven't seen it. It could be a wonderful piece. Sorry if it came off that way, but touchy??? Hardly.

It's all good, really did not mean to hijack the thread at all. Your product seems to be a quality piece, so I definitely would not worry about lack of customers.
So how many owners does a-spec have on the boards? You, poweraxel? is stevecod one as well?

Just one, Me
Poweraxel works here, and Steve COD used to work here, he is by far the fastest you will ever see anyone pull and strip down a motor, yes I miss him, no not in a weird way. The pans are nice but few want to pay the price for quality anymore.

I have the pan, won it at sevenstock. For an average backyard mechanic how long can I expect the install to take? I have never pulled the sub frame but have pulled a couple motors. Last time I looked from below the subframe didnt look like an easy thing to drop, but do all the suspension parts need to be removed or will it drop enough without actually removing any of that?
And about the level sensor, is the thought that as long as you pay attention to the pressure gauge you should be fine? I think I would be paranoid to not have the level sensor.
