Soon to have the car - a few questions

I am looking for a FD for a weekend and autoX car.
I've been searching(bare with me please) and I have some ideas, but I would like to know how far my cash will take me.

First on my list is obviously replacement of as many disposable parts I can (brake rotors, pads, fluids, etc.) and the reliability mods.

After that is said and done, I will have ~8k to play with off he bat. I plan on only mildly modding the car for at first so I can learn the vehicle and attend a SCCA driving school.
Now I'm at a loss from there. I want to go single turbo, seems that is the usual route, but how do I start?

Should I look for a car that has a blown motor and replace it with something rebuilt with a port and new apex seals? Should I buy a car with an already replaced engine and go single waiting for that engine to die, replace it later?

My goal is ~450RWHP when I'm finished. I have not seen any info on how the stock engine will take this. I know that people have done it, but should I just splurge for the prepped motor now, and go single down the line?
Thanks for any advice. This is all easier when working without a budget

Single Turbo for an AutoX car? Hmmm..

If your goal is 450rwhp, I hope you got bank.

Anyhoo...

As for what type of FD to look for (good shape or blown engine), it's really up to you. Personally, I would rather get one with a blown engine. That way I already know what I'm dealing with and it would allow me to set it up the way I wanted.

I know, not the best setup, but more emphasis on a weekend car than track

I realize the money involved.......

Thanks for the input, any comments on the stock engine's capability of handling that sort of power? Am I gonna just have to pull everything soon after anyways?

Well, if you want that kind of power, I don't think you'll get it on a stock engine. You'll probably need the engine ported to get that kind of power.

Not only that, you'll need to upgrade to suspension, differential, and other things to handle that kind of power. It's not simply just "hooking up a single turbo".

Keep in mind, 450rwhp on an FD is not the same thing as on a Supra or Mustang.

Are you just picking out that number for some reason?

That's the sort of answer I was looking for.
Perhaps a built motor from the start is what I will do

Yes, I do realize that.

I would expect that trapspeed to land me in the 125mph neighborhood. That is my goal
