sometimes boosting and sometimes not?

Ok so im really frustrated right now.The problem surfaced when I removed my old fuel injectors and replaced them with new ones.I believe that there was something that I removed and put back toghether wrong.I dont believe its the uim as I have removed it many times already and im familiar with that part of the car.The only stuff that I had to remove that I have never removed before is this part that bolts to the lim right above the injectors. It has these two circular caps with 4 screws a piece. These two enclosures both have a nipple where a vacuum line goes to.I had to reomove the cap of one of these in order to remove the main piece that connects to the lower intake manifold side. The main piece has two bolts on top and one on the bottom which was a real bitch to get to.Inside the enclosure there was this spring with a rubber diphragm of some sort. Its colored pink and looks like a small speaker with a spring behind it.What purpose do these serve?
The problem im experiencing is really weird.Starting out in first gear the car boosts fine up until 5000k and higher. At 6000k the boost drops like a rock to about .02 bar and then when you shift the blow off valve barely makes any noise. In second the car struggles to make any boost at all.At max it makes about .02 bar.
What really weird is that this sometimes happens and sometimes it doesnt happen.Sometimes the car boosts fine.Is there some kind of valve that could be stiking?
Im thinking that those speaker looking spring valves are behind everything. Please someone help me out.

Ok the main piece is called the air control valve. The two speaker like valve enclosures have both been traced by use of the vacuum hose diagram. The one that I removed traces back to the switching solenoid valve. The other one traces back to the relief 1 solenoid valve.Hope this makes things a bit clearer.
