Has anyone seen a solid carbon fiber rear gate/hatch before? My son and I just bought another FD from Japan and it has a solid rear gate/hatch, no window at all. The car has a camera that displays on a rear-view monitor instead of a mirror. Trying to figure out 1 - if this is a complete custom piece, and 2 - if this will be legal once we get the car back to the US?

I doubt it would be legal, but depends on what type of inspection process you have in your state. Many supercars have abysmal rear visibility, and also vans like contractors use often don't have rear windows.
