Solenoid Vac Lines

Hey guys,

Ive been having issues with over boost (boost creep?) as soon as I start pinning it it boosts up to 15psi then back down to around 11psi. I got told by a mate to take the pipes off the wastegate solenoid and join the pipes together and do the same with the precontrol also. But when I did this, It boosted to 15psi again so I stopped but looked like it was going to keep going higher! What could be the issue? Its only started this over boosting since I put some Apexi Filters on

Cheers Guys

This is not creep. You need a boost controller.

This is a half-assed way of controlling boost - and since you are still hitting 15psi you must have done it incorrectly.

Cheers mate, Just put vac lines back on to the solenoids and relised when I was doing this that it looked like the lines were bent and was blocking them. I also put the standard airbox in and its now boosting 10-11psi so thats all good.

Ive had a look at his car and since installing a set of Apexi intake pipes and removing the cat (not needed in NZ for emissions) it has started to spike (factory boost control cant handle the increase in flow). I told him to join the pipes together to bring the boost down to wastgate pressure just until he gets a controller. Way I see it is its better the have a shitty way of controlling boost that keeps it low then a car thats spiking out to 15psi. Reason it didnt work was because he had a kink in the pipes, blocking them all together...straighten this out and it will be fine intil you get a controller.
