Solenoid Relocation Boost Test

after finishing the solenoid relocation that you can see in the first vid and i also did a writeup here:

https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/finished-solenoid-relocation-795827/

this is the first vid where i just show you how the relocation looks

this is the boost test; it seems that my secondary isn't kicking back up to 10psi after the transition. any suggestions:

i also just noticed that about 6k the boost seems to drop even farther down; it got from about 7-8psi to down to about 5-6psi

i think i might have figured it out, i think that either my vacuum chamber is bad or my charge control actuator not be opening all the way, which would indicate a bad vacuum chamber

gonna test that stuff tomorrow and get back with you guy

for those that even looked at this post.

My only question is: how much longer did you have to make the vacuum lines to do this? And if they are significantly longer, do you think that might affect response?

honestly, you have to make the considerably longer but i didn't notice a difference in response time

if you watch the video of the boost gauge you can see that my secondary isn't kicking back up to 10psi after the transition so i have a little troubleshooting to do tomorrow

ok guys, found out that when i did the relocation, i completly forgot to put the pressure chamber pill back in....going to the store to get a new one now....we'll see if that fixes it

it would explain it, seeing that the turbo control actuator needs both vacuum and boost to open all the way and it seems that i'm only opening about half way (getting about 5psi) then i'm not getting either boost or vacuum, seems right now that i'm not getting boost from the pressure chamber

luckily i had another pill from my personal shop stock....installed it and i'm getting some perfect 10-8-10 boost pattern

all in all, i'm pretty happy with the build.....boost response is as it always has been, hasn't changed since after the relocation, simplified sequential is nice to work with

after doing all that i have a much better understanding of how the turbo system works, and it's nice to know in case something else fails
