Is it still worth the money to do a new engine replacements on this car even though I can't test drive it?
Was this woman's name Suzanne?

But eventually yes, you would want to rebuild it. If it's a coolant seal, the housings should still be in decent shape as well.
Yeah, but if it's a blown coolant seal, wouldn't the coolant leaking into the chambers corrode them badly if it's been sitting for so long?

Check out the pics on rotaryresurrection.com - even if the apex seals are damaged, I'd expect the rebuild to include a lot of new parts.

Well if it's that R1 from the other thread, I'd replace the engine anyways. Of course, I wouldn't buy something that haggard to begin with...

Depends how bad the leak is and how long it's been sitting. Personally, I wouldn't bother with a rebuild anyways unless I wanted to preserve some well-ported housings. Might as well buy a reman otherwise.

I've had a motor with a blown coolant seal sitting for more than 6 months, and aside from replacing the fouled plugs, it took nothing to fire it up and it ran like a beast. Drove the hell out of it on the track all weekend, and it ran perfectly fine at normal temps. It all really depends on the severity of the leak.

So $100T2 did you look at the fd this past weekend? Just curious what was the deal on the engine condition. Did you end up buying it?
