So... I took off my stock lip

to get the 99spec lip ready to be put on, however I got lazy and after taking off the stock lip I took a nap. Anyways, right now my car is lipless, will the belly pan fall off w/o the front screws in that were holding the lip inplace?

No, the belly pan is held on by more than the lip, there are bolts on each side (2/3) and 2 POS plastic interior trim screw/rivets at the back.

But don't drive it. At least put one screw in the center/front so the air doesn't rip it down under the car.

i was hearing some nasty rubbing sound, wasnt sure what it was, started to pull over on the freeway when i start black plastic fly off, i figure it was something to do with me removing the stock lip. anyways i just looked and the belly pan is still there, but the cover next to the belly pan on the driver side is ripped in half, that's what flew off.. its dangling now! Anyone got a spare they want to sell me? =o)

usually its a good idea to stop the car and check it if you hear interesting sounds while driving.....wouldnt want something to get caught up under there and cause you to wreck now would you?

Yeah, but that only makes sense if you are intelligent. Unintelligent people just keep driving. The tragedy is that they can't be statutory limited to driving Pintos.

does the $95 replace the belly pan and the covers on the side? or just the middle piece?

Are you talking about the brake ducts? They are the pieces which are directly in front of each wheel. Those are separate, maybe $65 each. They also bolt in under the lip on each side.

I suggest next time you remove the lip or work with it, lift the front of the car and take a good look at what you're doing so you can see if everything is nice and secure.

you are going to have to do about 2 hours work to get the 99 lip on the 93 bumper. it requires measurement and drilling of new holes into the lip to make it line up nice.

I don't get why anyone would want this plain looking lip - the R1/R2 and '99 lips look MUCH better! Anyway, I would have given you mine for free if I didn't already throw it away!
