so i needed to choose a car from work...

work at a place that sells and brings in cars from japan, i sold my ballin *** kei truck and had to slap the plates on somthing else... so much selection..but had to choose the FD baby! 1992 , stock everything besides a catback exhaust , thing is so surprisingly fast.. i think it might be faster then my damn turbo fc ive poured thousands into (but the fcs clutch is really worn) but now im thinking of buying the fd from the company, so smooth, sexy, the thing hugs you when you close the door... im sure you all know the feeling, ive owned around 5 FCs but the fd beats them all, gas milage is great if i dont floor it ..but how can i resist? its so smooth like butta!! pics!

that does looks pretty nice. amazing that you picked up an FD from your job.

First thing I would do is replace those HVAC *****. That looks terrible.

hehe i love the exhaust.. has a nice tone even though its pretty quiet-only thing the car could use is to fill properly and paint over the holes from previous what looks to be a 99 spec and stock spoiler locations.. other then that its spotless, 47,000 kms when we got it but me n my boss have been using it so now its at 50,100 kms original and it shows.

Is that a red interior? (I can't tell for sure from pic.) If it is, that's a rare one.

WTF is with the HVAC hate? Everyone seems to be weirded out by the HVAC on my FD as well. I just don't get it.. they are just ***** ...

OP: nice. I get mine out of the container tomorrow. What company do you work for?
I'm pretty much the only one importing cars on the East coast. The JDM boom hasn't gotten over here yet.

really? yeah i totally dont mind the ***** on the fd they look fine.. i work for pac-gateway, we started out by privatley importing for people but now we expanded and are going more commercial. We do lots of pre-orders right now mainly. http://pac-gateway.com/ site needs some work. I havent had time to work on it recently and our server/provider really sucks so the site is down somtimes.

Looks great, congradulations.

Looks like a type X in manual?

How does Canada let this in as an import? Is it because its under the 15 year rule?

hehe, yes it is here because we have a awsome goverment when it comes to importing cars.

I just saw a RHD MK4 2JZ twin turbo at the inspections place today.. things saxy. should have taken pics with the 2 beside eatchother, i can buy it but i might buy another RX7 off sombody this week, if i dont im going to likely buy this one, its too mint and has super low kms to pass up!

If i do buy it first things front mount intercooler and put back on the 99 spec front bumper

thanks for the waxing tips too for the lip guys. tomorrow ill drop by the auto store and grab some mothers or armor all wax if i got time

Nice car. Do you have to have the USDM steering wheel on to import it? Ive never seen a JDM car that has the big ugly US wheel. Put the sexy Efini wheel back on!

Mine has the same wheel. Are you sure that isn't the stock wheel?

Oh, pardon my phrasing. I know it is a stck FD wheel, but I was wondering if it was stock JDM, because it seems strange for most JDM FD's I have seen have this wheel.
Did all 92's come with airbags. I wonder if the type-x (touring) comes with airbags and therefore the fat USDM wheel, while R1's come with no airbags and get the 'efini' wheel?

Can any one clarify this?

They didn't steal the sterring wheel, the car is most likely a JDM Type-X, the sticker inside the door shut will confirm it.

This model came with red leather, Drivers airbag (hence the steering wheel), cruise control and the unusual HVAC controls which I think look a bit more modern.

What's odd however is that it isn't an automatic as virtually every type-x i've ever seen has been an automatic, and here in the UK most FD's are JDM models as they only ever sold 124 out of the UK showrooms!

Does it have the BOSE Wave system in the boot?

Car looks mint by the way
