So happy to have my FD back!!

Just got my FD back from KDR after an engine rebuild. I love my car, I cant wait to get the thing broken in, so i can start feeding it some psi. I have to get reaquainted with my act 6 puck extreme though. Geez that thing is ruff. I am so not used to the stiff clutch after driving my audi 90 with 5spd around for 4 months. I noticed that the car bucked a lot today shifting gears . Almost feels like something is breaking, or going to break.
Regardless, glad to have it back. KDR really pulled through this time. I love them guys. The new mechanic is pretty cool too.

Wait, so you've been through two motors with the anti detonation device? Why did it fail this time?
I know last time they said it was from doing the figure 8's and getting the car hot, but I saw your rotor man, that was from serious detonation!

The only real anti-detonation device that I am aware of is water/methanol injection.

I heard that the anti-det device was just a glorified bolt I'm in the middle of WI. Yeah me!

This one wasnt nearly as bad. Only the rear rotor, blew a seal. I dont understand why it did this time. I guess it could have been a number of reasons, starting with the quart and a half of water dave drained out of the gas tank. It may have very well been detonation. Either way, they fixed it for me, and i am very happy with it.

BTW Water injection has already been shipped, and should be here soon. Im also gonna be running a 25% - 30% mixture of toluene in my gas to raise octane. I aint taking no chances this time.

glass man, you going to be able to make rotary revolution this year?

good for you....I've just got my FD for 3 days, then the next day I made a booking for a full inspection. And the mechanic didnt give me any good response. All he said was 'No good mate..no good, leak everywhere' . Maybe the word 'rebuild' is near...

Sorry to hear this. You got to be really careful when buying an rx7. You can be getting into a complete mess. These cars are really great until you start modding the **** out of them, then they break often. It happens. Im sure one of the reasons this is happening to me, has a bit to do with the 435 rwhp im putting down.

On another note, when these things are running good, they are the best things in the world. But when they have their problems, they really have their problem. When it rains it storms.
I just got a couple of kinks to get out of the car, and im sure I will be in the better part of the spectrum.
