Smoke coming from turbo area. FD
Hello everyone i recently bought a 1993 Rx-7 my first one actually but im having a slight issue which i cant pin point and i was hoping somebody with more experience and knowledge can give me a hand
my new FD smoke from the turbo area but not all the time. It happens here and there when i take out for a spin and bring it back to the garage it does not smoke any more i was doing some tranny work so i took advantage and checked one of the turbos the one near the tranny and it seemed fine(((( car is stock with 3inch exhaust inch down pipe.))) i saw some engine oil in top of the exhaust manifold close to the turbo closest to the chassis any ideas tips. Thanks in advance.

There is an o-ring that creates the seal between the y-pipe and the small pipe that connects the secondary turbo compressor to the y-pipe. The o-ring can get old and fail allowing oil to drip onto the exhaust. The oil gets into those intake pipes from the crank case ventilation system. There is a chance this could be your issue.
