Are you looking for pics using a Pettit IC duct with a non-Pettit IC?

ok, so is anyone running the 99 spec turbo's and X pipe? If so please show how your IC is plumed. I would hate to have to cut my 99 spec crosover pipe or go back to the stock one.

Hey Chad, I'm running the XS Power unit which is about the same dimensions as the M2 medium. I had custom piping made so I could keep my Efini y-pipe. I still need to make a duct. I'll be using the opening section of the stock duct and fiberglassing/ABSing the back section.

here's my original setup that we fabbed...i changed it to have the straight pipe because i figured it was a shorter distance.

oh i forgot to mention, in the first pic i posted (how my setup is currently, without the x-over pipe), we chopped the Y pipe to make it about an inch shorter and rotated the mount before welding it back on. we did this so we could have a nice bend without crushing the pipe so it would clear under my strut tower bar. if you check out the '99 spec x-over pipe, its more of an oval shape than a circle. i wonder if that means there is less space compared to a circular pipe? anyway, here's the modified Y pipe as well:

Thanks Don, I want to keep the battery up front if I can so I might have to run a setup like yours.
Is your IC floating or mounted down?
Since I am running the M2 air box and efini x pipe I will have to run a smaller IC.

I have the one from SR Motor sports $799
http://www.srmotorsports.com/sr93intr.html
that fits in the factory location but with the air intake I cant seem to get it to fit the lower pipe without hitting the pulley. Maybe my car was wrecked at one time?

Yes, I have already drooled over the pics you have posted. If I could weld these problems would be gone. That setup looks great!

I had a small bracket welded on the bottom to mount to the cross support.

I am running a blitz smic with the efini y pipe (and crossover tube). No modifications are needed with this setup. The Blitz smic is smaller than most of the aftermarket units, so installation is much easier.

yes.

the lower S pipe seems to be the issue. The IC is too fat for the pettit air duct.

Chad, I have never been able to get the Greddy S Pipe going to the lower portion of the stock/stock inlet intercooler to fit well. As a matter of fact, The belt sliced through one of them not too long ago in my MB car(on the track). I put a stock plastic pipe back on and I have more clearance and zero issues since then. Like you said, I've always thought it sits too close and I've prob. had 5 different FD's throughout the years that have had them and they were all like that.
