Slight idling problem...

The car has been running great, however the idle lately is a little odd. this problem only started recently. sometimes now it idles under 1k, which seems to me to not be of the normal nature. what do you guys think the problem is??

First off had anything been done with/to the car before it started to idle strangely?? (i.e. was it after a service??)

Secondly, my FD has pretty-much always idle'd at around 5-600 rpm. I've heard some of the boys up the idle to 2-3000 when they work on their own cars. i just got mine back from it's service at Mazda & they said it was normal.

I could be wrong I'm no mechanic but I usually ask a few questions when I get a service etc.
