Slight coolant smell
Noticed a slight coolant smell while under hood a couple of times, lately. mostly noticable when engine is warm and after reving. No noticable leaks/drips, or loss of level. Any ideas? I just had the clutch replaced and down pipe put on. Ran fine for about a week or so, then noticed this and change in boost. Secondary not kicking in right, today. Any help here, will be greatly appreciated as always.

Pressure test the cooling sytem and check for popped off vacuum hoses for the turbo problem. If you don't find any hoses off then it's time to troubleshoot.

Champagne bubbles in your overflow tank while the engine is running? Is the coolant smell only when you start up you car? If yes to both... start saving for a rebuild.

No AST tank, It has been eliminated. Going to have turbo coolant lines checked tomorrow. Will pressure test show problem , if there is a pin hole there, or if I have a loose clamp somewhere? Engine has been really fine until today. The smell is so faint its barely noticable. I still have good vacuum according to gauge. After check, I'm driving from Charlotte NC to Asheville, NC and we'll see what happens. I'm going to search pressure test threads now. Thanks
