SK, Canada, rolling shell price?
Hey guys, just wondering your opinions of what FD shells are worth.
What would you pay for a FD with a close to perfect body and blown engine.
What would you pay for a FD with a close to perfect body but no engine, transmission, ecu, harness or anything.
And what would you pay for a dented up and faded FD with a blown engine.
I'm looking at one with a decent body just one big scratch, no engine, tranny or anything, interiors in good condition, would $2,750 be to much, or about right?
Thanks in advance

Sounds high for a completely stripped out roller.
If it has other supporting mods still in it that make it worth it to you, then go for it.
If the cabin side harness has been pulled, then it could be missing all kinds of things that you don't know about.
Take a good look at the frame, PPF, panel alignment, wheel gap, etc. that can give you a heads up if it has been damaged or twisted.
It's not hard to find replacement panels to cover up a wrecked car.

It's a 94 fully stock
All that's missing is the engine, transmission, harness, ecu, drivers seat, and drive shaft. I'll find out tonight if there's anything else.

I went and had another look. Everything's taken off in the engine bay, the headlights and all the assembly, the master cylinder and slave are all taken apart and in boxes, who knows if all the relays are there or not. And the paint is faded really bad, and there's spots of rust in the engine bay on the frame.
Don't think I'm gonna offer more than $1000

If in decent shape, black interiors can go for about 2k.
Without seeing the actual car it's hard to say what it's worth, but someone correct me if I'm wrong, but rollers with full interior normally go for around 5k from what I've seen.
An engine/trans/harness is easy to pick up, theres several for sale on the classifieds right now. After putting that all together, you could have a nice FD for under 10 grand. I'd say thats worth it.

How dented up is the body? It would be a pretty sweet car to beat around the track. You could build it pretty cheap, but it would take a lot of time and dedication. Depends if you're up for it, I suppose. No more than $1000 sounds about right, but really depends on how beat up it is..
I would definitely go with the RZ route, but I wouldn't put 100% of the loan to the car. I'm certain the car will be asking a lot more than that when it arrives. PM me if you want

-front clip is disassembled, though he says everything is bagged and labeled.
-no drivers seat
-some chunks where obviously broken out of the back bumper and side skirt, which are crudely filled and painted over with a different shade of red
-needs a safety inspection
-needs windshield
-I'm pretty sure this is rust on the frame

Wow this app is such a piece of crap. I can't attach more than one picture or the app crashes. Sometimes it won't even let me comment on my own thread. Fu rx7club

I wish he would. I just want a FD for $2,000-$2,500 and worth that much. I was hoping for something with a blown engine, but an engine none the less. And some body damage to take it down to that price.
