Simplified sequential revisited (pics)
Hi All:
I'm about to do a silicon hose job. After much research and study, I plan on doing the "simplified" conversion outlined here:

If you compare the two colored diagrams, you will see that the following solenoids are eliminated:
A) Fuel pressure regulator control solenoid
B) Relief 1 solenoid
C) Switching solenoid
D) EGR solenoid
G) Double throttle control solenoid
The diagram actually shows that solenoid A (FPR control) is eliminated. On Robinette's site (http://www.rx7turboturbo.com/robrobi...lification.htm), he states that this solenoid must remain in place.
The shop manual states that the purpose of the FPR solenoid is to keep the FPR from seeing vacuum during hot starts (this effectively raises the fuel pressure about 10 psi). Removing this solenoid should not cause any performance issues, but I don't wanna deal with hot-stat problems.
I plan on leaving A in just in case, but has anyone here done the simplification with no problems from eliminating the other solenoids? I'm not exactly sure what the function of B and C are...I'll have to look that up.
