Simplified sequential for Japanese market cars

Has anyone got a vacuum diagram, a step by step how to, or any help on converting a Japanese market car to simplified sequential?

Thanks

Peter

You may be on your own there. As far as I know, the '93-95 JDM cars are VERY similar to the US diagram, except for the lack of the EGR controls. The '96+ cars use the "black box" instead of the vacuum rack, and little is known or documented about it's plumbing. There were also some revisions in '99, but I'm not sure if any of those changes affected the vacuum layout.

Unfortunately, many of the later changes just aren't well documented or aren't documented at all in the US.

Thanks Dale, I'll just have to dig in and have a go. What I find I'll post, to add to the collective knowledge!

Vaccume diagram?

Hey pfgasket,

Did you have any luck getting the vaccume diagram? I'm in the same boat. I'm in the process of completing an auto to manual with a JDM motor. I'm stuck at this point. A few vacume line has been left out or not matched up.

Hey guys

Can I suggesst you join us on this thread: https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/99-parts-fishe-470491/ I'm working on getting the Series 7 & 8 parts diagram, and one person already definitely needs the vacuum hose diagram as well.

Do you guys know if this was found on a sticker on the underside of the hood like in 93 - 96 models? Or am I gonna need to get the actual page from the parts diagram or FSM?

Thanks
~Ramy

PS: For simplicity's sake, feel free to reply in the other thread. Easier to follow just one

There should be a sticker on the underside of the hood with the vacuum diagram on it. Perhaps the Aussies or Kiwis have a good copy of it.

Even a digital camera pic of it would be interesting.

What we need is a wiring diagram of how the internal solenoids (I'm assuming they're similar solenoids since all the actuators are the same on the newer turbos) are wired.

Once we have that, we could possibly rewire the plugs that go into the "black box". This is assuming that each actuator's solenoid has an individual wire and not a "main main wire" with some sort of digital electronic controller. This is all based on the assumption that the new 16-bit ECU controls the solenoid assembly in the similar fashion that the old 8-bit one does.
