Silver Check valve

Hey the all silver check valve off of the oil filler neck... is it supposed to blow air in both ways? because mine does....

It should blow in ONE direction only!
I had to replace mine this summer, it was flowing both ways..

That check valve is for the fuel evaporative system. It is only supposed to flow one direction, and can make your car idle funny if it flows in both. Replace it.
