A silly question

You might find this question silly (and probably is) but i have to ask.
Would any one consider possible to tune a car over the Net?i dont know like a remote access to a computer or with a web cam?
You see some of us are still living in the stone age spending a lot of money on useless upgrades with out having a good tuner and its not the easiest thing to have one flown half around the world .

That's potentially a great idea, if the tuner has access to the feedback they need to be effective.

Then you could get a truly great tuner without driving for hours and hours or flying the guy into town.

As a Sys Admin I would have to say, check out software products like GoToMyPC and others they have for secure shared desktop access that is very fast across the internet.

The only hard part is having all the gauges and measuring devices the tuner would need to get information from.

GL with that and if it does work out for you, post how it went, we'd all like to know

Ask Steve Kan this question. There is much more involved in tuning a car than boosting and adjusting. Its a very dynamic process especially the drive ability aspects. And from my experience, tuning cars as a group venture is a real social issue. Virtual tuning - NOT! Go there, get drunk, hang out!

Have you noticed where the OP is from yet?

It's one thing to bring a tuner to the northeast, but to bring a tuner to Europe ... well not quite as cheap.

That's the general idea, to have some one who knows what is doing tuning the car that you've spend 40k on upgrades

It's about 10000miles more or less and would cost at least 3000$,lets say that this is not a problem and i gather 4-5 cars to split the cost but who is gone make a twelve hours plane trip to Greece....unless is planing vacations ,which is something i should consider .Perhaps i should open a threat with payed vacation to Greece as a title

Surely Steve K is the specialist to answer this question(how can i get in touch with him?), but lets take it from the top, tuning is a two step process, a)on the road and b)at the dyno ,the tuner observes parameters and makes adjustments .So he is receiving & analyzing informations brought to him on a pc monitor, what is the deference if he is connected on line during the test run giving directions by phone and having all the data through the internet ?
I am a realist ,we don't have the experience in Greece, we are like newly born in tuning we could never match a US or a Japanese tuner not by a mile,so we are in a desperate need for help.

Sorry i dont know how to multi quote.
