Silicone lines for fuel?

I am in the middle of a hose job. I had to remove a line at the rear of the engine compartment to get to one of the solenoid rack bolts. I kind of ripped the end of it when I removed it and should replace it. Can I use a silicone line for a fuel line or not?

Thanks

oh hell no!!!!! go get some fuel line (5/16 id) and replace it with that. just get the rubber "fuel line" from a parts store. later. . . i expect you will upgrade your fuel line to a more suitable ID and material. haha.

Thanks. I didn't think so. I am actually an engineer in the plastics molding industry but I have never worked with silicone. I will replace it with fuel line. Thanks again.
