Airpump Noise Question

Hi guys,

I've read all the different threads regarding the air pump mooing noise and still am not sure about removing it, so to make things easier I copied the picture of the air pump and highlighted the two hoses.

So which hose, GREEN or YELLOW, am I supposed to put a restrictor pill in? Also, if anyone has their Apex'i pill...please provide the outer/inner diameter of the pill and also the length of it.

After someone provides the correct answers and I do this, I'll finish the picture and post a thread with a simple how-to just for the other dumb guys like me.

Thanks for your help!

~mor

I have a blitz intake, and it came with a tablet-sized restrictor for me to put in the yellow hose.....

Okay, so yellow hose it is. What do you recommend for the diameter of the hole to drill in a piece of aluminum to allow air in?

How much did it remove the air pump noise? Entirely?

Thanks for the info.

There were 3 little holes in each restrictor, and they were just under 1/8" per hole, and they were ~1/2" thick. It didn't remove the noise entirely, but limited it to a very small rpm/speed range.
The blitz came with 1 more restrictor , and it went into the other intake hose that goes all the way back towards the uim.

How well did the Apex'i pill remove the noise? I'm going to get some aluminum and try drilling a 6 mm hole in it and see how it works.

in my opinion the apexi pill did very well. there is still some very slight noise, but it isnt that noticeable, at least not enough to bother you
