I am thinking of committing the sacrilege. I have been working on my 3rd generation for 10 years. Four motors and all the best and most expensive parts. I assembled the car myself. I had a trusted engine builder, but the people I did business with for Final housekeeping and tuning were an expensive problem. I now have a brand new, built by Pineapple motor. All the best that you can buy supporting it. I am thinking of tuning it and immediately selling a full bolt in kit. You would get the engine, BW EFR 9180 turbo, intercooler, radiator and a map you could plug into your Haltech that will give you over 400 hp. The setup with the EFR 9180 and, dual Tial wastegates, and a street ported motor is capable of 600hp but I am not going there. The buyer can.
With that being said, if I were to keep that beautiful body and interior, should I do the Sikki setup or Ronin? Everyone says there are plug and play setups. What's your true experience and what were the hangups?

No personal experience on that particular swap but....
A drivetrain swap is going to take time and money to get running properly - especially if you want a working instrument cluster, a/c etc. You lamented the time you already spent getting it to this point, do you really want to be working on it for another 1+ years?
If all the rotary stuff is there and ready for tuning, bring it over to Banzai Racing or Defined Autoworks and let them tune it and then figure out what you want to do. Maybe sell it and buy a Corvette. Less headache than a swapped car.
I wouldn't bother spending the money getting everything dialed in and trying to sell the whole thing as a unit. I haven't seen that many successful FS threads of people selling the whole thing for a fair to them price. It will be easier to sell the parts individually to interested parties.
Ronin by a long shot, the sikky swap puts the engine up higher and doesnt account for bump steer. Also ronin offers an 8.8 swap thats plug and play for the rear if your gonna track it id highly recommend checking them out.
Im selling a complete built Ls3 with procharger bracket, intercooler, piping, intake & throttle body, t56 magnum transmission, and driveshaft for about $4,000 less than what it would cost to build it yourself. Message me if interested
When I put my FD together, I put the 8.8 in using the Ronin. I also used the t6060 Magnum, so I am part way there. Thanks for your input on the Ronin. Sounds like they make a good kit.
