Hey, I've had several turbo Dodge Omni's and Shadows. I know ton's about turbo cars, but very little on the strength of the rotary internals.

How much boost can you run on the street and be reliable?

Can you spray a turbo motor pretty hard, say 100 wet shot?

What kind of 1/8th mile times could you expect with say 3000 dollars in mods? I know this one is pretty "open", but just give me some ideas. I'm, looking for 8 seconds flat.

Thanks, Micah and I will be researching the archives heavily.

you posted this in the time slips and dyno forum?? seems more "technical."
a healthy motor can handle quite a bit. its more tuning that matters until you get into HIGH numbers (which likely wouldn't be found on the street). upwards of 500whp street cars aren't unheard of, though not common. depending where youre at now determines a lot as far as where $3000 will get you. you need a healthy motor, a good standalone and a good turbo setup with proper accessories. i believe jacobcartmill did an 8.1 with a slightly ported motor, stock turbo and haltech e6k.
