Question Signs of a blown exhaust manifold gasket?

Hey guys, here's what happened. I spent six weeks in Northern Europe for a Naval exercise. When I got back I started up my car, let her warm , and then took her out. First thing I noticed was a really high idle. (1200-1500rpms) Then I did the boost test and I couldn't get over 6 lbs. I tried adjusting the air screw under the manifold extension, but nothing helped. Strange thing is, one morning I tried the boost test again, and I got 10 lbs. Later in the day, however, it was back at 6. So I'm thinking that the gasket between the block and manifold is blown, or the gasket between the manifold and the turbo assembly is shot. Any ideas or help? Thanks.

I'm not sure but those are pretty hardcore metal gaskets, you could rig up a way that water could be sprayed into the UIM and cause it to smoke and see if you have and smoke coming from that area.
