Side markers---Reflector to LIGHT

Alright, living in Canada I need to replace the reflectors on the side(side markers) with lights. I was wondering if anyone had any advice. I am new to these forums and tried to search but did not find much. I have been told to order a set of universal Euros and then stick them on, but they are not an exact fit. Anyone know? (pictures, dirty car, needs a cleaning I know)

shouldn't be too hard. pop off the reflector, drill a small hole in the body (if there isn't one already), mount a white LED and resistor and tap into a power source. you can get everything you need at radio shack

Problem

Behind the reflectors is a 3" thick black peice of plastic, GLUED to the reflector. Drilling a hole in that would make it cloudy and an LED would not show through, good idea though.

USDM---nope JDM

Ah, thats why, yeah my car is straight from Japan, so no luck on the lights and I don't want to not do the job right so it looks horrible or something, anyone know a direct fit? Where to get? I am fine with installing lights, but I need a reflector SUITABLE for lights.

just remove the reflectors and install USDM lights and wiring. that will be your direct fit.

Problem being...

Yeah, the problem with that is I cannot find the USDM lights. I was hoping some other "common" Mazda would fit, so I could grab them from a scrapyard or something. Any ideas?

Buy new ones: call Ray Crowe at Malloy Mazda.
