Should i? Torsen LSD 1:3.909 Differential

I have an R1 1995 FD and was wondering if a 1:3909 diff is an option i would want or would it cause problems?

How can i tell, and what whould I look for in a LSD on my car if it to be an upgrade?

Can i tell from the VIN if it has an LSD already? (I dont have time to do the spinning tire test just now)

VIN:

All FD's have the same Torsen differential. You probably have a 4.1 final gear and you dont want to go to 3.9 unless your making crazy HP and want a higher top speed?

Alot of guys go with 4.3 for stronger acceleration and a more usable 5th gear, and the torsens are weak. Stock S4 TII diff or an aftermarket clutch type diff are best for higher power levels where the car will see any sort of drive train shock, drag launches, clutch kicks, ect.
