Alot of great info. Don't run catless without ported wastegate, ecu or management, and boost control.

Yeah, I have decided to just remove the pre-cat and let it ride!

Can I get by totally catless with installing a boost control to maintain boost under 12psi?? I would like a tad more power without spending huge dollars?? Thanks!

a ported wastegate + boost controller would be needed to go catless, and you might still need to add a little restriction in the exhaust path if you still get creep.

the air pump pumps air directly into the cat while the engine is still cold. without the air pump doing its job you cat will fail very quickly. btw, the stock cats are super expensive.

Is porting the wastegate something I can do or will it need to be sent off somewhere. Also how difficult is it to install a boost controller? Thanks!

Get a downpipe, high flow cat, and pulley kit if you must get rid of the air pump..

steps 34 to 37 shows how to port the internal wastegate on the stock twins.
i don't know how mechanically inclined you are, but it isn't that hard in my mind to do this.
