It would make sense to me to cap of one and just use the ABV valve for the blow off valve, but every site i have read before has said to tee the lines and use both as a BOV.... any thought?

Just tee the CRV into the BOV line and have 2 BOV's.

Run both ... you should try to relieve as much air as possible to reduce the chance of damage to the turbos-and no it won't be as loud.
