Should I buy this car?
My friend has a 93 FD with a t-78 hybrid turbo. He crashed the front left of the car. The car has full interior and everything. He is willing to sell me the car fo $4500, but he wants the bare block and the Haltec engine managment, all other parts to the car stock and aftermarket I can keep. Do you guys think that it would be a good deal.

If it's your first FD, I'd probably avoid it. If you have or have had FD's and are familiar with them, might be a good project. Depends on how hard the car was hit as to whether it's fixable. But, you're looking at some MAJOR work to get that car back into 1 piece.

I dont know how much it would be to fix it. I already have an FD and I just blew my turbos, but I just bought a set that had 15k on them. Does anybody need parts off of the car, because if you do I would consider buying the car and parting it out, if there is enough people that need stuff.

Assuming this car has all the parts to support a t78 I would be all over it. Sell the turbo kit for 2500, Full exhaust you can get about 500.00 out of, If intercooler is salvageable there is another 6-800 dollars. You can always get 2k out of a roller with full interior. Just the way I would aproach it. Good luck

The car is a manual, I will be doing all the work, it is also a street port motor from pettit. He says I can have the motor but when I am finished give him my stock motor that is in my FD right now. He has a custom 4 row peter ferrel innercooler. It has wheels, gauges, all accesories for the turbo kit plus the turbo. Full peter Ferrel exhaust, supre fuel pump, 850cc pirmary, 1600cc secondary injuectors with upgraded rails (etc). I will try to get pics.

Also I am not trying to fix up the car, I am just trying to decide if it would be worth buying and putting the single turbo setup in my FD and parting out the rest of the car. I think I may be able to get it for 4k instead of 4.5k. Plus I was planning on doing a single on the car, sence I blew my stock turbos but when I was calling around for all the parts it was really expensive.
