Shot in Paradise!!........pics....

Hey Everyone,

Sorry for the misleading title to this post, I was hoping it would get some attention. I am the proud new owner of Will (Negative)'s old FD. I've actually had the car for a while now, just been busy. I took the car down to my friend Travis' shop (HYPERSPORTS) and had them tune it. They did 2 pulls and had the car tuned in about an hour. It made 280 rear wheel horsepower and 245 lbs of torque. I guess that's pretty good for stock engine, stock twins (non seq) and the bolt ons it has. I finally got around to cleaning her up and taking some pics. Sorry for the small pics, I had to resize them (noob here) I think you can click them to make them bigger. Also, I just ordered a brand new flame suit size M so until that gets here, go easy on me.......

Alooha man,
Where you located on Oahu? Good to see more islanders on the boards! Nice clean ride you got. I like the white. I haven't seen any white on my island. Very nice!

Aloha! VERY NICE RX7 you got there! I love white FD's, and that spot you took the pictures at...let me guess..somewhere in east side, sandys? If im mistaken, then sorry! Anywhoo I see that you live in Waikiki, I live in waiks too, maybe i'll see your car around. Its too bad that I don't have a fd due to finanical problems, but one day I will! I have one question, I didn't know that hypersports work on Rotarys, or any shops in hawaii that actually work on rotarys, that is the number one reason why I do not want a rx7, but the car is so damn irresistable. Again good luck and safe driving brah, ALOHA!

I thought hypersports was one of the only shops taht worked on rotorys...i heard wmr does too (but probably not as good as hypersports. the mazda dealership downtown side is the only dealership that knows how to work on these cars. They only work with oem parts though and are expensive as hell.

in anycase, nice car. i have yet to see a 99spec front end in person.

Aloha Sonny, so *you're* the one who picked up Will's car! I asked him who bought it and he said somebody in Hawaii - I was just there a few months ago on vacation! Anyway, I sold Will the shift **** that's in your car. Congrats on the new ride - it's one of the nicest FDs I've ever seen.

Hey,

Thanks for the comments. Actually, HYPERSPORTS doesn't do any engine work on rotaries, it's just that they have experience tuning them with the Power FC and are one of the few shops here with a dyno. Yeah, not too many people down here know a lot about rotaries (including myself) but I am planning on learning how to do the engine rebuild on my own. I know what you mean about financial problems, I have actually been e-mailing Will (Negative) about this car for over 4 months. I was lucky he still had it when we sold our condo! And Bro, don't let the fact that nobody here works on RX-7's dissuade you from buying one. Honestly, when I first found this forum, it had me thinking twice, but now I know it was worth it. Get yourself an FD Bro!!

Sonny

Yeah,

I think I spoke to you once over the phone, we were talking about a lifted truck or jeep? Sorry I missed you when you were here. You might've seen me driving to work, my car is like the only white FD in Waikiki (I think). Thanks and take it easy!

I don't know who Sean is but I hope nobody pounds on my car in Waikiki!! So do you hang out with the other FD guys? And the 99spec front end......it TOTALLY makes the car, this car looks 10 times better in real life than in pictures!! See you on the road!!

Hey Matty,

Not sure about the other guys but I myself was born here. At 7 years old I was taken to Camp Zama, Japan and raised there (Dad was Military). Also stationed in Yongsan, Korea and across the US. Returned here at 18.

Sorry to be off topic too!
