My B&M rattled until I put on an engine torque brace. I ended up putting on solid engine mounts and swapping to a cosmo intake manifold so I had to get rid of my torque brace(wouldn't clear my brake booster) and still didn't rattle.

anyone help me out getting those or at least size of screws so i can find em? ordered shifter from the 7 store, so if you're checking the thread and have some jason i'd appreciate the help

Am I the only person that thinks the stocker is short enough?

ps. I let my dad drive my car once...let me tell you I love to hear a 3rd miss as my 5th gear synco grinds!!
this wasn't a one time thing either...so I told him to just stay in second (3k shifter) or I'll do the shifting, haha!

The $90 B&M clones work great.

Drive one with a short-shift kit and then get back to us.

I have had my B&M shifter for a year and a half now and am very happy with it. I had to do a bit of cutting on my body to make it fit, but it still only took about 45 minutes for the install. I have never had a rattle either.

I personally have let a fellow FD owner (actually more than one) drive mine.

The short shifters are definitely an aquired taste. When I installed mine, I was highly disappointed. However, after driving it for a while, I never want to go back to stock.

I love my Pettit one. Solid doesn't make any noise. I also replaced all the rubber underneath that had rotted and a new pad. I would never go back to stock!
