Short Question About Mod's

Hey, in the summer I will be putting on a Racing Beat Dual Tip, but with this I am already running a downpipe and Greddy Airinx intake.

I already have the gauges I need to monitor the car (Water temp, boost, oil pressure, and air/fuel).

The only thing I wasnt sure of is whether I should be upgrading the fuel pump at this point (probably Nippondenso) , or will it be running fine on the stock fuel pump with these mods. Also, if I do add a new fuel pump, will I then need an aftermarket computer to run the pump.

Thanks alot guys.

A tune would be very wise. Your pushing the classic 3 mod rule...

The three mod rule has left the building.

You can run as many flow mods as you like if you keep the boost at 10 psi. You will not need to upgrade your ECU or fuel pump (though the latter would not hurt).

The operative phrase here is: if you keep the boost at 10 psi.

Too many mods (usually running a full exhaust) will, even with a boost controller, give boost creep, and then you are in trouble, since without WG porting, etc., it can't be controlled.

If you have not already, i would recommend you upgrade your radiator and intercooler if you are running the Greddy intakes. If you think about it, your intake is sucking up all that heat from your engine, making the stock airbox more beneficial than what you are running now.

Ohh ok, great thanks guy's.

Yeah, I won't be going more then 10psi of boost right now, as then I am also pushing the reliability of the engine and trans (automatic).

What I might consider doing now then is getting an aftermarket wastegate to be sure that I wont cause any problems, instead of a fuel pump, which I will upgrade along with an aftermarket ECU.

RotaryDreamz, I hear what your saying about the intakes, but right now I cant afford an aftermarket intercooler. What I was going to do though was buy from pettit the ICD cover kit (included in there intake kits, it feeds the air that originally went to the stock airbox now into the stock intercooler) as well as there "V" duct for cold air to the Greddy intake.

edit: By the way, the temps I am seeing right now, on days that are between 20-30 degree celcius, are just past the 90 degree mark so with these intake mods from pettite I think it should be sufficient for now.
