Yes, but using an upgraded radiator doesn't typically cause problems with cooling.

You gonna like! I am runnin 10-11 PSI and it feels like 14...It just pulls and pulls and pulls...I think I am putting down somewhere around 280rwhp and feels so freaking fast...It's hard to imagine what driving a 500rwhp FD would feel like.

I just installed the Greddy FMIC and have been running 92-96 deg C (197F-205F) with a 180 thermostat according to the commander. My temp sending unit was bad before i did the swap so i dont know my temps before the install but I think that is still kinda high.
Anyone else having cooling problems w/ FMIC?

92-96 isn't bad. As long as it does go above 110°C

your sending unit was bad for your gauge, not the thermosensor for the computer

the highest its gone in city driving is 99C but after shut down it climbs to 105 ish. I've heard of a "fan mod" that can be done w/ the PFC...is that just a matter of adjusting the temp correction or is it something else?

why don't you just figure out how to work the thing so you can turn your fans on earlier....

I've got teh Apexi GT FMIC and it barely fit too... Wound up damaging the radiator while I was putting the FMIC in... good reason to buy and put in an aluminum koyo radiator.

911GT2, it sure as hell does limit the airflow to the radiator.. mine was sitting right in front blocking it. Good reason to upgrade the radiator... a 7 can never be cool enuf.

I must note... before the radiator rubbed against the FMIC and started leaking.. I didnt have any overheatnig problems with the FMIC blocking the radiator...

Anyway, I am getting a Miata battery tomorrow and going to give it a run and see what it feels like…
I installed my miata battery in the middle of August. It was fine for the first couple of months but now it seems to charge at about 1/10th the previous rate and it doesn't hold a charge for more than 2 days. I've spoken to a couple other people that have had similar problems. If your experience is similar let us know.

Good luck,

Chris C.
