She got tired......

Well the saga seems to never end on my restoration........

I spent Christmas vacation replacing my turbos, thought I would rebuild them but the cracks were so bad that I replaced them. Soon after that the MOP went bad so I replaced it, what a headache. Then it was the TPS, replaced and readjusted, great finally no codes. Driving her in the "limp" mode for a week was a pain but I got good at short shifting lol. After all the codes cleared I enjoyed one day of boost, although cautiously, and then on the way to work the motor went soft. So I pulled over and checked for hose problems unfortunately no easy fixes. Rough Idle, no pull even with boost, 9 inches of vacuum, get the picture. Yes it blew a tip seal, why I have no idea, but maybe you RX gurus can tell me. All I know is that I have been wrenching on this thing for to long and have been successful up to now. I have built small blocks like 327's, 71 Vette LT1's, and modified my old C5 LS1. I put myself through college working as a mechanic at a Suziku shop and built some nice race bikes we raced at Sears Point. So this RX has kicked my ***, and now Cameron has it at Pettit's to be reborn with all his the expertise to bring it back to goodness. Didn't mean to bother y'all but I guess I just had to talk out loud. Fell better now ........I will fill you in on the next chapter.

Take Care,
Andre

It sounds like you have a lot of patience Andre! I hope when you get her back you'll finally get to experience the true pleasure of the RX-7!
