shane racing cai question

I want to get rid of my apexi intake. Is the shane racing cai a true cold air intake? If so where does the cold air enter it?Can you mod a racing beat intake duct to the shane cai?

It's a good intake, but it's not truly cold air. It draws fresh air from between the radiator and the frame rail. Much cooler air than the open-style intakes.

The only "cold-air" style intakes are the stock box and the PFS intake setup -- both only draw air from the nose of the car.
