Wink Setup Searches done

I've done searches on all this but I just want to know if you guys have any new opinions on this setup. This is what I am planning on running.
- dp, mp, cb undecided on company, I want a balance between sound and performance. Suggestions
- intake ic, undecided on co. I think I want a HKS ic. Suggestions
- ECU, upgraded primary and secondary injectors, 1600 secondary undecided primary and co. Suggestions
- Pettit alluminum AST
- Rikki style non/seq
- 3mm 2 peice ceramic coated apex seals. M-Comp
- Regring housing and refinished? If that is possible to pretty much get rid of any possible imperfections in the housing. es told me that cliff is coating the interior of his housing with ceramic, which would help eliminate hot spots etc.. If it works well for him I will definetaly consider this as well.
- new oil coolers undecide co. Suggestions
I think that about covers it. Tell me what you guys think what co. you think would work with what, and just any general suggestions that you would like to give. Thanks a lot for your time.

hahaha yeah this is my future setup I am saving up for the car now which will probably take a few years. I am hoping to purchase it my senior year. Yeah I can't afford food here either. I pretty much go around my halls asking for food or money. That is one of my things I ask people to donate money to the "Help Steiner Get Some Money So He Can Buy CD-R's and Listen To Music Fund" I usually get a few people that will actually give me money after meetings it's great. And everyone wonders why I'm so small. Hah. And as for the ohio remark. All I got to say is what happend last week huh? Who beat the **** out of Nebraska? Yeah what was that the Nebraska coach got fired after he lost to us. Oh that hurts. Look at we're getting our game back.

I've heard bad things about the HKS intake...stay away from foam intakes.

I am undecided on the intake, but I am thinking of getting an HKS Intercooler. Sorry for the confusion. And my price rang. I have unlimited supplies of money. Nah. Definately not. This would defenetly be over time. Right now I have no clue what my budget would be, it all depends on what kind of job I land while I am here. Most likely, unless I get a job that pays out the @ss, I will be doing what you guys are doing right now. Mod by mod doing them in an intellegent order intake dp,mp,cb,ecu,etc... That is pretty much what I hope to do. So we'll see. Thanks again for your time.

Ohh one last thing I will not sacrifice quality for price. So basically I want to get the best stuff to insure the life of everything. Even if that means saving up for a lot longer than I would like to to get the cash. And one last thing I would be doing most of the work, excluding rebuilding motor and things that require lots of knowledge and equipment.

dp and mp:
they are pretty much the same. Just get a stainless one.

Exhaust(CB):
those can be from 400-2k. It kind of depends on what you want for the car. Almost any CBs out there are better than the stock one. in general, the expensive Ti ones are very light and start from 1k. R-magic GT muffler Ti with 80mm pipe only weight about 3.5kg. But it also cost you an arm and a leg.
good Ti: JIC(loud>110db)~$1k R-magic(loud>110db)~$1.5k Kakimoto(loud>110db)~$1k RE Amemiya(med>98db)~$1.7k
good Steel:
Apexi(loud)~$400-700 HKS(loud)~$400-700 Greddy(med)~$600

IC:
FMIC or SMIC?

ECU:
3 choice, Heltech, Apexi PFC, AEM Either one are good.

Injectors:
no need until you go to high boost.

Apec Seal:
wait until you blow the engine.

if it just daily drive, oil cooler can wait.

All right I am happy. Getting some good feedback. Okay I do want light so I would probably save up for something more expensive for cb. As far as sound wise, I really don't want it to be that loud. I could deal with it I guess but I don't want people to hear me coming 2 miles away. Yes FMIC not SMIC. ECU I have heard a lot of talk about the Apexi PFC. So that would probably what I would go with unless some new ones come about. Injectors I would replace later on when I went to a single snail setup. And Apex seals. Hmmm I'm still deciding on this one. I may just have to open up another bank acount and label it rebuild. Just keep enough money in there to be able to rebuild the engine the way I want it when it goes. With apex seals . Wow that helps out. Okay anyone else have any opinions or suggestions. Thanks neo_omega, JUSTgotMINE, sszablya, & 89turbo2dutch for your input and help.

If it were me, I would look into the stronger 2MM Hurley seals, but that's just me. Check this thread for some information on it:

https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...threadid=80512

Basically though, you really don't need to mess with the seals until rebuild time (unless you purchase an FD with a blown motor).

Also, for the catback, what type of look do you want for the car? The dual tip catbacks are usually quieter than the single tips.

Don't neglect the suspension and brakes either.

yeah I thought that might be a problem. But I was hoping by the time I am looking for them that they would have started making em for us. Wishful thinking.
