seriously loosing my boost.. any suggestion?
hey everyone
i need some serious suggestions and opinions here..
my car.. it's 92 rx-7 fd with apexi air intakes, and 5 inch kakimoto exhaust.
and aftermarket intercooler pipe.
when i just got it, it was running at too high boost.. around 1bar i think..
and after a while, it started to have oil leak..
and now it's getting worse and worse.. park my car for a while, and move it back..
you can see oil dropping...
looks like it's dropping from my turbo liner..
and my boost is runnng really low now.. about 0.5kpa (7.5psi)..
and if u pin it in 2nd gear, boost peaks at 0.5, and after 5-6000rpm, it starts to drop slowly, and once you swift it to 3rd, it doesn't go as smooth as before, the boost in 3rd gear only runs at about 0.3-0.4.. and does the same thing..
i don't know... if it's all becuz of bad oil leak problem on this thing, or a boost leak somewhere.. or problems in my turbo
by the way the motor has about 80000km on it..
look forward to get a good suggestions from you guys
thanks a lot guys!

1) How did you turn your 'too high' boost down?
2) Not really a good idea to 'pin it' in any gear when you have a visible oil leak. I mean it's your car, but, most people don't even abuse their DD's when they're gushing oil.
Fix the oil leak first then the boost issues. I realize you probably got the FD for a song, but still, give it some respect.
