Seconday boost problem!! Plz help!

I've been having boost problems ever since I got a streetport and downpipe. my boost used to spike to almost 20 sometimes, in primary and secondary boost. So i took out the pill out of the precontrol actuator I think. my primary boost usually kept below 11 but when secondary boost came online it would go up to 15 or so. Also during primary the boost slowly climbed from 7 - 11 in the higher gears, is that boost creep? Plz can anyone solve my secondary boost problem. Thanks

You did not post enough info on your car for anyone to make accurate guesses on the problem, but your symptoms sound like a boost control issue.

Did you keep the stock cat? Did you replace the cat with a midpipe?

Check your precontrol/wastegate solenoid pair, that they're plugged in properly (white dot with white dot).

If it's not the solenoids, you might have a problem with the precontrol or wastegate control actuators on the turbo's themselves.

Try a search. Type in "turbo control problems". You'll get a litany of threads on the subject! Good luck!

You may need to port your wastegates as well.

yea I still have my stock cat. I've been reading a lot of past turbo problem threads before posting in serach of my answer but no avail. could anyone tell me where solenioids are? i'm sort of new to this turbo thing. Yea I figure porting my wastegate will help, but I don't think that is my real problem. I also talked to one of the guys at mazdatrix they said that even porting the wastegate wouldn't help too much cause there really isn't much more you can port on the wastegate, like a couple mm prolly. I took another drive today , still same problem, primary boost is satying at 10 or 11, but secondary is going relaly high.

This is a symptom of a wastegate control problem. There's a solenoid pair behind the little pressure tank. You'll need to check the wastegate half of that solenoid. If that's not a problem, check the wastegate actuator itself. If you've searched, then you'll know where to find the resources on how to check out the solenoid and actuator.
