Secondary Fuel Rail Diffuser

Secondary Fuel Rail Diffuser
I'm trying to put my car back together and right now i'm stuck on the injectors. Finally figured out how to put the secondary rail back into the LIM and I hit a wall...From what I understand, the diffuser goes in first then there is a insulator that goes on top of the diffuser. After that, the fuel rail with injectors goes in. Got that from another post here. When I was removing the LIM, the diffuser was in pieces. I took it out and it shattered. I don't want this to happen again, a shatter diffuser that can end my motor's life. How or CAN I install the injectors without using the diffusers. Since there is no diffuser there won't be anything there for the insulator to push on to create a seal. Any help would be great. Thanks!!

You must use the diffuser. They do not cost that much. Your broken while trerying to pull out a 15 year old plastic part use a new one and don't try to pull it out in 15 years and you will be ok.
I do hope anybody that changes injectors uses new diffusers, rubber gaskets, insulator spacer, etc. as a normal parctice, these are not reusable parts.
