if you are removing your abs I would assume your building a drag car? If thats the case its straight forward to remove, just find braided lines and run from the calipers straight to the master cylinder. why would you want a write up?

i would like to know why you are wanting to remove the ABS system.
like lowboost said, it should only be done if you're building a drag car

Just curious, what makes you guys say it's only for a drag car? What's wrong with taking it out on the street and for road courses/autoX?

You need to learn some mechanic and diagnostic skills before going further.
Also if you do not have the Mazda manual, download them.

removal of ABS introduces other issues - mostly around brake bias. howard coleman and others have made various comments about this in the suspension section iirc.

removing ABS is sometimes done in a race oriented setting (typically open track stuff).

There are absolutely no good reasons I can think of to remove it from a street car.

There's probably no posts on it because a LOT of people opt not to do it. It's not a recommended modification to be done on a street car.

Second reason would be that most people that choose to do it have enough experience working on cars to do it w/out a "walk through".

+1

If you can't figure out how to do this, then you have no business messing with the brakes on your car! This is a system that could endanger you AND innocent bystanders if it failed.

Ferrari engineers said they would run ABS in their F1 cars if the rules didn't prohibit it.

Maybe true but that system would be design specificly for that car and that setup.

Our cars abs system is designed for the factory setup and was one of the best braking systems of the time but, pad changes, wheel diameter and big brake kits all have an adverse effect on the abs system and it doesn`t work as it should. If you are a competent driver and have a BBK etc then you will more than likely be able to brake better without the abs.

I take no responsibility for the people who think they are competent drivers and clearly arn`t
