It ignores anything that has less than 3 letters. Which is a problem because mostly we've reduced things to 3 letter abbrv.

For example, ABS, EGR, ACV, CCR, BOV, AVS, etc etc. Now I'm trying to search for 'CCV' and 'PCA'.

Did you try using quotation marks around the abbreviations? It also helps if you know the section that the thread was posted in, rather than doing a general search.

Since the update, i've found the search to be VERY good at finding the specific thread i've been looking for.

 

Quotes don't work. Instead it just ignores anything that's less than 3 characters. Ie 'ABS Removal' and 'CRV test' bring up results for 'Removal' and 'test'.

(Actually, it ignores anything less than 3 characters, regardless of quotes).

 

Try adding a * at the end.

 

Or you could brute-force it by googling site:rx7club.com "crv test"

You can't limit it to the 3rd-gen forum, though
