Did you try contacting sakebomb garage and asking them?

The back of the housing on the primer has a retaining clip for the bulb the silvers use a screw type fastner. The silverline was only recently released.

That would make too much sense, and as such isn't really a viable option

Why no one wants to talk to us

They look nearly identical from the front... from the rear on the premier you will see 4 protrusions sticking out that look somewhat conical. You can see this better on this non-black set for the "golden ticket". The Silverline set will not have these protrusions and the rear is smooth. The very early versions of the Premier lights were painted silver, however the newer v2 sets are a matte black, while the silverline lights are silver on the back.

The silver painted early versions are the "premier"... they're just painted silver. Performance is identical. Well, assuming you don't have the later 50w ballasts

Hopefully they are treating you well

I meant silverline vs premierline, theres a substantial price difference.

They work great, need to reaim them i think they're a little high.

The only issue is the driver side vibrates over rough roads and the light moves... any suggestions?

There are bushings in the stock pop-up headlight mechanism that allow them to move up and down. The plastic seat for the ball pivot can wear out over time, or other pieces of the mechanism including mounts can get loose. First tighten up the mounting bolts, and then give it a wiggle... if it's still moving check those ball pivots. A worn pivot isn't really noticeable with the stock headlights as there is no discrete cutoff, but the sharp projector cutoff will allow you to see any movement in the assembly.

As far as performance differences, they are both bi-xenon units, and both use all of the same hardware aside from bulbs. The silverline beam pattern isn't quite as wide, the long distance throw isn't quite as good, and the evenness of the lighting is a little spottier than the Premier. That said, we wanted to make a kit that everyone could afford with great performance, and this setup fit the bill. They're still amazing lights with quite a substantial savings, and still beat out every other lighting kit currently available. The safety factor alone makes a bi-xenon setup worth it's weight in gold, and no matter which one you end up with and they're still 1000x better than the stock headlights. I get unsolicited emails from customers at least once a week telling us how appreciative they are to have a set of these on their car, and thanking us for making them... it's a little weird to have someone thank you for BUYING your product but it makes us feel good to know that we're making something that people feel they have not spent money in vain on.

Here are premier vs OEM... I think most people will agree that the stock lights are a complete joke, especially on a slow car

I can't wait for my buddies silverline lights to come in. I was lucky and squeaked in at the tail end of the first group buy for the premier lights. Once we both have our cars all done and running this season we can do a comparison of the two with photos showing how they differ. With how amazing the premiers are I can imagine the silverline won't disappoint.

The stock headlights are borderline unsafe. I'll save up for a set of premiers.

wow, those are great GIFs to show the difference.

sakebombgarage guys, i don't know any of you, but i've seen a lot of retailers and BS parts sites over there years (especially dealing with the RX7 community), and you guys seem to really know what the hell you're doing.

keep it up.

prometheus, i had one of the first/early sakebomb kits that came with my FD when i bought it (i sold them to a forum member) and the back of the housings you're talking about appeared to be epoxy on mine.
this makes sense if they're replacing the whole center of the headlight but having to retain the rest of the housing.

We have 3 more sets left in stock and 5 sets of the premier. This is all that we will be producing for quite some time sadly as we ran into a bit of a roadblock with the business and the fate of the company is a little uncertain at the moment.

Very suddenly last month lost our lease on our current location that we've been operating out of for years... it was large and cheap. We've been scrambling to find a new location but all of the locations that we have found have been too small or completely out of our price range. You wouldn't believe it but we don't turn a huge profit on our products and the space required to make them is considerable. I've been packing everything up for a storage unit for the last week, so everything is basically coming to a halt as far as production. Long story short, there are packed headlights available now but once these are sent that's it. Hopefully we'll find a new place but for now whatever we have pre-packaged is all we will be able to offer. Sorry for the sob story... we're really in quite a pickle at the moment.

You mean like this?

Note the beam width and throw (distance) of the premiers versus the silverlines. Also note that the light is more evenly distributed on the premiers. However the silverlines are no slouch and are definitely a bargain for the price and a massive improvement over the stock headlights. As you can see the silverlines are very comparable to the premiers. These pictures have only been edited to include the information in the bottom corner. Pictures don't really do either set of lights justice honestly and either choice will make night time driving tremendously more enjoyable.

Well make that 4 sets of premiers. I just ordered a set of them and a door handle as well.
As a business owner myself I am sorry to hear about the trouble with your lease. It happens. I built a facility and moved my operation onto my own property to avoid leases. It makes my life a lot easier. I'm sure you guys will figure it out either way.

Sorry to take the thread off on a tangent but I had to jump on these since it might be my last chance. Good luck with SBG!

Oh man I haven't seen you on here in quite some time! We need to do an "old timers deal"

Thanks for the kind words. Running a small business pretty much requires you to be an octopus and not sleep. It's tough stuff and very few people actually understand. We've got everything stuffed in a large storage unit at the moment but have a few leads... unfortunately the locations we are looking at are much more expensive and smaller than our old location, and I'd rather shut it all down than raise prices on parts. We try our best to be competitive and not cut corners but our parts aren't cheap as it is. It's just an unfortunate situation but we're looking for a way out.

Thanks for the vote of confidence and the order! Do you still have the blue car? I always loved your car... I'm sure I've got pics backed up from years ago
