SAFE to put PFC?

Could the power FC ever be a bad thing to put on a car?

My cars got 128k miles, and i dont know whether its in good shape or not, but i bought a pfc for it, so just wondering if it would be safe to put it in?

What mods do you have? It's not a bad purchase at all, but if your car is stock, the money would have been better used on a compression check, tune-up, and reliability mods.

I thought you asked this allready in your "when will she blow" thread

Anyways, I'd replace the downpipe and install the PFC and the intake. That's about it. Keep boost to the minimum you are at (like 10psi). You may need to adjust the PFC though cuz when I installed mine, I was boosting at 12.5psi

haha ur very observant, i didnt wanna repost on that thread cuz people might not wanna take a look the 2nd time around, but yeah. i guess ill do that then, i dont boost my car hard never past 10psi.
The cars not bone stock, currently i have done... vacuum hose, clutch, exhaust, blow off valve, fan switch, boost and temp gauge....all of which are not really reliability mods haha except for maybe the switch and hoses and gauges. and oh yeah type-r sticker(JK!)

If you're not confident in the condition of your motor, why bother with all of the above? As already mentioned, have you done a compression test?

The Power FC will increase the boost to 12 PSI until you turn it down. Not hard to do. You should be fine. Just make sure you have good gas in there before you start to fool around with the boost.
