Sadly parting with my FD :(

Sadly i must sell my FD... parents forcing me 2. Well i just wanted some opinions on a couple of things.. I have a tracer body kit that i was planning on putting on but im not so sure now. Should i sell the car with or without the body kit on?? Another question i had was how much should i sell the car for? well let me give some information on how it is : its a stock 1993 FD, the only thing it has is a new catback system which was already on the car when i bought it. The car has 120,000 miles on the body and almost 56,000 miles on the engine. The only thing wrong with it is that it needs a new headlight motor which im trying to buy right now. The interior is clean and in good condition. Like i said, I have a tracer body kit and a veilside gt wing type II i planned on putting on should i sell the car without them on and sell the parts seperate or what? i would put piks up but i dont know how lol, if someone wants to tell me how to do that then il add pictures. Thanks .

As someone who is planning to buy an FD in a year or so (not now, sorry) I would just say that you are unlikely to find someone who has the same taste in a bodykit as you, whatever the kit may be, compared to someone that wants a stock car and to customize it themself. Plus you need to consider the cost to paint the bodykit.

In my opinion I would leave it stock, as is, and just fix any problems such as the headlight you mentioned.

Don't put the kit on it. Leave it stock and part out the other items.

yea, keeping it as it is would probably be for the best.
as for the price, i'm no expert, but i think considering that its an auto with high mileage, maybe 10-12k. fixing the headlight would definitely help your sale.

body kit seperate.

An automatic 93 should go for maybe $12k in good condition.

sell the body kit separetly but be ready for it to take a while unless you're willing to let it go for 10% of what you paid for it. as for the value of your car, i have no idea... run through the for sale listings on the forum and look for similar condition cars. that is the best way you'll find to come up with an accurate price.

good luck

Definitely sell the body kit separate. From what I see, people usually have a hard time selling automatic. Good luck, hope you're able to sell it.

I honestly think that's a bit high.

I'd agree more with that. I think if it were a 5 speed, it could go for $12,000...autos just won't grab as much

The caf will sell quick for $8k but you could probably get as high as 11k if you waited a while. Autos are hard for me to give an accurate price on, there isnt much demand but there are buyers out there wanting them.

you may actually do better (make more money on the sale) if you do a manual swap on it and then sell it... plus it would let you hold onto it longer

I doesn't matter how old you get, it's amazing what parents will say if yo uenjoy something they dont understand.

Heck, it's not like you're into picking up 400 lb hookers and peeing on them.. it's a car for hecks sake.

Yah, same here. My mom was dumbfounded when I said I wanted to buy a car of this age. She even took me to a few Subaru and Mazda dealerships trying to convince me get a new car which she would lend half the money for (she knew I liked the WRX STi). I wasn't pursuaded and bought the whole car myself and now its all mine no matter what anyone says. I love it too much to part with.
